PROJECT: CH-5X

The setting is in 2100, when all current heavy-lift helicopters in the US military are outdated. The need for a new heavy-lift aircraft becomes increasingly urgent. Project CH-5X is a response to this. Intentionally designed to replace helicopters such as the CH-47 and CH-53S, the CH-5X is not much larger than these two predecessors yet more capable thanks to its unique rotor design.

The CH-5X is equipped with 2 pairs of rotors, 2 at the front and 2 in the back. This design is not new. The idea is not to reinvent the wheel but to push the boundaries of technology and engineering. The rotors are protected by a ring-like structure. It has a cabin in the back equipped with two robotic arms to carry equipment. At the front of the helicopter are two machine guns mounted on the sides, serving as its main defensive weapons.
